Having become a father twice in the past three years,
I find myself more aware of children than I used to be. While my patience may still be
tested more times than I would care to admit, I have become increasingly more distracted
by the many children in need those who may be orphaned, undergoing an extended
hospital stay, or who are suffering from a terminal illness.
My wife and I regularly contribute to our church and
local and national charities with hopes of bringing some light into the lives of
youngsters. Most recently we participated in an auction held by a local radio station. We
were high bidder for a Princess Di Beanie Baby and our bid helped buy therapeutic
equipment for the Tulsa Childrens Hospital Burn Unit. We regularly support other
organizations such as the local chapter of the Make-a-Wish Foundation. But sometimes money
is not enough. Actions speak louder than words or money. As magicians, it is our
responsibility to bring a sense of wonder into other peoples lives, and what people
are more deserving than children?
We are trying to establish a database of magicians
across the country who would be available to perform for children in need of a little
magic in their troubled lives. Our goal is to set-up an online service which will act as a
matchmaker for hospitals and magicians. You need not be an experienced professional
performer to participate. Anyone who knows how to make a child smile already knows the
most important form of magic there is love.
Please consider participating in this evolving
project. Send your resume with a personal note to info@m-a-g-i-c.com. Thanks on behalf of the
many children who have lost their smile.

Use the list below to look for a participating
magician in your area, and then click on their name for more information. While we do not
represent these people theatrically, it is our hope that they will provide their services
at no cost based upon the seriousness and urgency of your request. The goal of this
project is charitable in nature and not commercial. If someone tries to charge for their
services, we'd like to know so we can drop their name from our list. If you use a
performer's service and are dissatisfied, please contact your local Better Business
Bureau. Always check references! Thank you and may God bless all involved in this project!
